About the Two-Color Text Keychain generator

The Two-Color Text Keychain generator creates personalized keychains with a colored body and contrasting raised lettering — the classic two-tone look you can achieve with a single filament change, no multi-material printer needed.

Enter a name or word, choose the base and text colors, font, and letter size, then fine-tune padding, body and letter thickness, border, and corner roundness. It is perfect for gifts, event swag, bag tags, and small-batch shop products.

Printing instructions

  • Material: PLA in two contrasting colors.
  • Color change: Insert a filament-change (M600) at the layer where the lettering starts — check the body vs letter thickness settings to find that height.
  • Supports: None required; prints flat.

Frequently asked questions

What file format do I get, and which printers work?

You get a standard STL file that opens in any slicer (Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, Lychee) and prints on any FDM or resin 3D printer.

Do I need design or CAD skills?

You just fill in a few fields and StlFactory generates a ready-to-print STL — there's nothing to model by hand.

Do I need a multi-color printer for two colors?

No. The body and raised detail are separate, so you can get two colors on a single-extruder printer with a filament change at the right layer. A multi-material printer works too.

Can I add a ring or hook?

Yes — enable the keychain hook option to attach it to keys, a bag, or a lanyard.

How is the keychain customized?

You set the text, base and text colors, font, letter size, padding, body and letter thickness, border, and corner roundness — so it can match a name, brand, or event.

How big are the keychains?

Size scales with your letter size and padding — most name keychains land around 50–80 mm wide, and you can adjust before generating. You can also always scale the generated model in your slicer software.
